PRELUDE
PRELUDE
2nd prize winner at the 37 International Choreographic Competition Hannover 2023
NEXT PERFORMANCES: tanzOFFensive Festival, Eisfabrik Hannover, 10th and 11th May 2024
A prelude serves to introduce something more valuable and more important; it precedes and prepares the way for the principal matter. Can we still enjoy the present, and play in the beforehand, knowing that what's about to come will be bigger and better? And what if it doesn't turn out to be? Performed on Wagner's Lohengrin Prelude to Act I, the choreography elevates the concept of a preliminary condition to a state of broader scope and higher importance.
